Alias & Search Matching

Ridright’s search system is designed to ensure residents receive the correct guidance—regardless of how they search. Built-in matching logic handles synonyms, misspellings, and common variations automatically, while giving your team full control to refine and prioritize results.

Built-In Matching

Ridright automatically accounts for:

  • Synonyms and common item variations

  • Misspellings and partial matches

  • Common language vs. program terminology

This ensures residents can find the right material even if they don’t use the exact or official term.

Custom Aliases

Your team can define and manage aliases for any material, including:

  • Commonly confused items

  • Local terminology or slang

  • Program-specific naming conventions

Aliases can be added, edited, and prioritized at any time to improve search accuracy.

AI-Assisted Expansion

Ridright includes an AI-assisted generator to help expand alias coverage by suggesting:

  • Alternative names and phrasing

  • Common variations used by residents

  • Additional terms to improve match rates

All suggestions can be reviewed and edited before being applied.

Search Experience

Ridright’s search system includes:

  • Predictive text and auto-suggestions

  • “Did you mean” corrections

  • Synonym-based matching

  • Prioritization of defined aliases

Results are optimized to return the most relevant material based on how residents actually search.

Master & Jurisdiction Behavior

Aliases and matching logic follow the same inheritance model as materials:

  • Updates at the master level apply across all jurisdictions

  • Jurisdictions can override or customize aliases as needed

  • Local overrides are preserved while maintaining alignment with the master

This enables “edit once, update everywhere” while supporting local precision.

Program-Level Control

By managing aliases centrally, your team can:

  • Reduce confusion from inconsistent terminology

  • Improve search success rates

  • Ensure residents are directed to the correct guidance

This minimizes errors and ensures reliable outcomes across your program.
