Acceptance Rules
Acceptance rules define which materials are allowed at specific locations, within bins, or through particular programs. Ridright uses these rules to ensure materials are only directed to valid and appropriate disposal options.
Material Acceptance
For each location, bin, or program, you can define:
Which materials are accepted
Materials that are restricted or excluded
Program-specific acceptance (e.g., paint, batteries, electronics)
This ensures materials are routed only to options that can properly handle them.
Program & Facility Alignment
Acceptance rules can be configured to reflect:
Facility capabilities and limitations
Program-specific requirements (HHW, special collections, etc.)
Differences between drop-off and curbside services
This keeps guidance aligned with how services actually operate.
Jurisdiction & Eligibility Rules
You can also define access and eligibility, including:
Residency requirements (city, county, or district)
Service area restrictions
Event-based or scheduled programs
This prevents residents from being directed to locations they cannot use.
Bins & Collection Systems
Acceptance rules extend to curbside systems:
Define what materials are accepted in each bin or stream
Adjust acceptance by jurisdiction or hauler
Reflect differences in single-stream, dual-stream, or specialized programs
This ensures accurate, location-specific curbside guidance.
Real-Time Control
All acceptance rules can be:
Updated at any time
Applied instantly across all jurisdictions and experiences
Managed centrally or overridden locally where needed
